Locanda La Tirlindana

If you want to have a refined brunch, lunch or dinner in a breathtaking waterfront location in Sala Comacina, don’t miss Locanda La Tirlindana: we confess, here at Lakeside we have a real crush for it!

You can sit right in front of the island, enjoying an incredible scenery while having your glass of wine.

The menu is not an endless one, and that’s for sure a synonym of quality; plus, they offer special off-list dishes based on availability.

Fun fact: “tirlindana” at Lake Como refers to a special 20 to 100 m long line, equipped with sinkers, specifically meant for fishing in fresh water.

Crotto dei Platani

This gourmet waterfront restaurant, dating back to 1855, is located in Brienno, a few minuets drive from Argegno.

Renovated in 2019, the Crotto still retains its historic charme, perfectly expressed by its original handpainted sign.

The restaurant owes its name to the traditional cellar dug into the rock, called "crotto", characterized by the so called “Sorèl”, a current of cold air that comes in a mysterious way from the bowels of the mountains and maintains a steady temperature of about 8 ° C both in winter and in summer (that’s why it’s the ideal environment for the maturation of wine, meats and cheeses!).

The Crotto offers the best Italian wines (over 400 labels!), meticulously selected from the panorama of the best Italian wines.

Fun fact: in the thirties of the 20th century this place was the secret headquarters of the most elusive smugglers of Lake Como.

Il Ristorante Di Paolo

A very refined restaurant located in the old town of Menaggio, a few meters from the water.

What we like most of Chef Aurelio Della Torre is the obsessive attention to details he has for each course.

The presentation of all dishes is just flawless: have a look!

La Darsena

Fun fact: the historic building of "La Darsena" in Tremezzo since the early 1900s was used as a shelter for the beautiful wooden boats that the lords of those times used to move from one bank of the lake to the other.

Today it’s a hotel with one of the most stylish waterfront restaurants of the western coast.

Il Gatto Nero

Nestled in the (remarkably steeeeeep) hills above Cernobbio, Il Gatto Nero is the perfectly Italian restaurant: elegant, but also cozy and rustic.

Prepare yourself for the most terrific lake view you can have on the southern branch of Lake Como.

A popular destination for many celebrities (spoiler: George Clooney loves this place), Gatto Nero is just perfect also for a couple’s romantic dinner.

La Baia di Moltrasio

If you want to dine on a terrace overlooking the lake, hearing the sound of water in an extremely suggestive corner in the southern area of Lake Como… just go for La Baia di Moltrasio!

Chef Alessio Rossi offers a simple and genuine cuisine that enhances our local products.

The wine list edited directly by the Chef offers a wide selection of labels representing the main designations of origin of Italian wines, favoring native vines.

Osteria Treterre

This restaurant and farm (with hotel included) is nestled in the hills above Pianello del Lario, Northern Lake Como: a real oasis of peace, surrounded by greenery!

Have a look at the rustic interior, with its careful selection of vintage items: pretty impossible not to love such a nostalgic ambience!

The dishes are just exceptional, all made with locally sourced products.

The wine list is a small jewel of the area that boasts well-known names and small local growers with whom the Osteria has been collaborating for years.

Le Restaurant in Villa Hotel Belvedere

The venue of Le Restaurant is just fabulous, with its enviable terrace overlooking the lake. We are in Argegno, one of the most picturesque hamlets of the western coast of Lake Como.

The menu is truly interesting, with some revisited traditional dishes and surprising combinations.

Risotto with perch highly recommended!

Berton al Lago

This exclusive, luxury restaurant is part of Il Sereno Hotel in Torno, designed by Patricia Urquiola.

Designed with a beautiful traditional Venetian terrace and travertine stone, the restaurant has a beautiful and large outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Como, including a section that is built right above the water.

At water level, the Moltrasio stone arches create a spectacular setting with breathtaking views of the lake, including the villages on the opposite shore.

Chef Raffaele Lenzi offers three tasting itineraries: “Homage to tradition”, five dishes of Italian cuisine reinterpreted in a modern key; “Contrasti”, seven dishes based on the contrast of flavors and gastronomic cultures; and "Roots, tubers, vegetables", seven dishes that demonstrate how vegetables can be the protagonists of a menu.

The service is truly impeccable and offers a very high level of training. All dishes - extremely refined - are studied and presented as spectacular works of art.

Le Darsene di Loppia

Loppia hamlet, in Bellagio, with its old harbor with boats anchored, is by far one of the most romantic and timeless locations of Lake Como. Here you can still spot some original Lucia, the old boats used in the past to carry the local fish!

Le Darsene di Loppia restaurant overlooks right the lovely harbor.

The menu provides refined dishes with pretty perfect combinations.

We personally tried risotto with pumpkin and bottarga: quite unforgettable!
